CSCMP Edge is finally here again! With over 100 workshops and sessions from industry leaders, CSCMP’s Global Annual Conference has established itself as the provider of supply chain thought-leadership.

The team here at Convey is excited to be joining the fun in Atlanta at CSCMP Edge this year, and we have picked out some sessions that we are most excited about seeing.

Monday, 9/25

10:30 am – 11:45 am | Supply Chains to Admire: What Are the Winning Characteristics?

Using Hadoop along with machine learning, Lora Cecere and Sam Borthwick from Supply Chain Insights will be going through 15 years of balance sheet and income statement data along with Brian Tessler from Schneider-Electric. In this session, Monsanto will dive into how they arrived at the process for the perfect shipment. For them, this required more than just great customer service — it involved supply chain transformation including organization design, solutions, metrics, and governance.

In the wake of hurricanes Harvey and Irma, ALAN (American Logistics Aid Network) describes the effects of the storms on the supply chain industry and how they located and moved goods from suppliers to the affected communities of Texas. Additionally, attendees will learn steps they can use to prepare their organizations for potential disasters.

8:30 am – 9:45 am | Innovation in the Supply Chain: Perspectives from Leading Executives

Learn from the senior executives of Danaher, Unilever, The Home Depot, GE, and Caterpillar about building and leading innovative, agile supply chains. The panel will dive into technology disruptors such as fast-changing customer preferences and digital media in order to discuss how companies can adapt their production and supply chain capabilities.
